New turboprop light attack aircraft MC-145B Wily Coyote for special operations forces presented in the USA
US Special Operations Command may be armed with a new lightweight turboprop attack aircraft for special missions. According to The Drive, the American company Sierra Nevada Corporation offered the MTR a new combat aircraft MC-145B Wily Coyote.

US MTRs announced a new Armed Overwatch program last year, within which we intend to get a light attack aircraft, capable of supporting ground operations, conduct reconnaissance and deliver pinpoint strikes. The selected aircraft in the future will replace the U-28 Draco multipurpose turboprop aircraft in the MTR.

Proposed by Sierra Nevada Corporation MC-145B Wily Coyote is a lightweight twin-engine turboprop attack aircraft, based on the Polish PZL M28 Skytruck. Airplane length 13,1 meters with a wingspan 22,06 meter has a maximum takeoff weight 7,5 tons. The aircraft has four underwing suspension points, which can carry AGM-144 and APKWS missiles, as well as aircraft bombs GBU-39 / B. Depending on the tasks to be solved, the plane can act as a carrier of unmanned aerial vehicles, bombs GBU-69 / B, missiles AGM-176 Griffin or conduct reconnaissance. Flight range in the area 1,5 thousands of kilometers.

Currently MC-145B Wily Coyote is one of five aircraft, proposed to the command of the US MTR. Other contenders are the MC-208 Guardian based on the single-engine Cessna 208 Cavaran, as well as three twin turboprop light attack aircraft.

It is not clear at the moment which aircraft will be chosen by the US special operations forces, the command of the MTR has not yet been determined.
