According to the director, the corporation has launched mass production of the new APR-3ME anti-submarine aircraft missile and has already delivered the first batch to the military. At the same time, KTRV continues to develop new models of anti-submarine missiles., including the replacement of the above-mentioned APR-3ME. According to the plans of the corporation, the military will receive a new aviation small-sized torpedo, characterized by a significant increase in the cruising range.
Aviation anti-submarine missile APR-3ME is designed to destroy enemy submarines, it is unified for use with anti-submarine aircraft of the Tu-142ME type, IL-38, helicopters of the Ka-28 type.
APR-3M “vulture” continues the line of anti-submarine missiles APR-1 “condor”, EPR-2 “hawk” and APR-3 “Eagle”, in service with the USSR Navy and in service with the Russian Navy. The APR series missiles are considered one of the most effective anti-submarine weapons.
The acoustic seeker of the missile has become more sensitive and with increased protection against interference. GOS can detect a submarine at a distance 2,5 km (2 km in APR-3). The missile is capable of hitting submarines, going at a speed of up to 80 km / h and at depths up to 800 m. The time from detection to defeat does not exceed two minutes.
