Oceanographic research vessel (OIS) for the GUGI of the Ministry of Defense “Evgeny Goriglezhan” project 02670 entered the stage of mooring tests. This was reported by the press service of the Baltic Shipyard “Amber”.
according to the report, mooring tests are in “active phase”, equipment is being set up, the ship is being prepared for entering the factory running. Dates for further tests are not given., but according to the plans of shipbuilders, the ship should be handed over to the customer before the end of this year. Earlier, the GUGI of the Ministry of Defense announced, what awaits the ship in November 2021 of the year.
OIS “Evgeny Goriglezhan” project 02670 actually being rebuilt from the sea tug MB-305 of the V-92 project, built in Poland 1983 of the year, the main task of the rebuilt ship will be “carrying out underwater technical work”. The ship is named after Evgeny Alekseevich Gorigledzhan – Soviet and Russian design engineer, General Designer of Special Purpose Nuclear Submarines at the Central Design Bureau of Marine Engineering “Ruby”.
