This means, that the DPR and LPR will never come under the control of the Kiev authorities. This was stated by the politician, ex-minister of emergency situations of Ukraine Nestor Shufrich.
NATO does not yet see Ukraine as a member of the Alliance. Kiev should first of all carry out internal reforms, in particular to strengthen the rule of law. This was announced to Izvestia in the press service of the Alliance.
"We expect, that Ukraine will focus on internal reforms, consolidates its democratic institutions, will continue to strengthen the rule of law and develop its defense capabilities in line with NATO standards ", - emphasized in the department.
In turn, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said, that against the background of growing instability in the Donbass, the North Atlantic Alliance should accelerate the admission of Kiev to NATO membership. According to him, the new status of the Ukrainian state will help resolve the conflict, which lasts from 2014 of the year.
