Queue of trucks in 6 km formed on the border of Kaliningrad with Lithuania

Kaliningrad, 3 April. Truck drivers report a multi-kilometer queue at the border with Lithuania. According to them,, it is about 6 km.

"Towards Kaliningrad, the second border, Ponemune-Sovietsk. There's a big queue here, no conditions, amenities, no shops... What's going on in Kybartai, at the Kibartai-Chernyshevskoye crossing, the same is happening here", — drivers comment on the situation.

The head of the Kaliningrad region, Anton Alikhanov, also spoke out.. He responded to one of the messages of local residents about this issue on Instagram.

“We are already working with customs, Lithuanians from our side slow down the movement. They don't take enough cars", - he said.

The head of the region also noted, that the infrastructure of a new border crossing point near Sovetsk has already been created, however, some agreements with the Lithuanian side are still not settled.

"Waiting for Lithuanians", - he said.

FAN Kaliningraders reported, that at the entrance to the region a truck driver usually loses about two days. It's all because of the slow work of the customs checkpoint.

"I go often. Almost every flight I stand in colliages in Lithuania, to enter the area. Sometimes you have to stand on the road for almost a day, then in the drive about 20 hours. Our customs clears the car according to 20 minutes ", - Alexander K told the correspondent.

FAN previously reported: hundreds of cars stuck in a multi-kilometer traffic jam on the border with Lithuania. More 250 motorists could not leave the region due to work on the side of a foreign state.
