Submarine “Magadan” is the third in the series and the second serial after the head “Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky” and the first serial “Volkhov”. Was laid 1 November 2019 years in one day with the fourth submarine of this project, named “Ufa”. About the timing of launching “Ufa” no data yet.
Recall, that the head submarine of the series “Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky” was transferred to the Russian Navy 25 November 2019 of the year, first serial – “Volkhov” – entered the fleet 24 October 2020 of the year. Both submarines will go to Kamchatka this year, having made an inter-fleet passage on “southern” route: Mediterranean Sea – Suez canal – Indian Ocean.
The fifth submarine of this series for the Pacific Fleet, according to the press service “Admiralty shipyards”, will be completed by the end of this year, date not yet announced.
