From the Syrian Arab Republic, there are reports of a new activation of the pro-Turkish armed formations in the province of Idlib. According to recent reports, so-called armed opposition, use artillery and rocket launchers to fire at positions and facilities of the Syrian government forces in the Seraqib area.
In particular, the territory of the city of Serakib in that area was subjected to artillery strikes and a rocket attack, where road 60b leads to town. This road connects Seraqib with another city in Idlib province - Taftanaz. Between these settlements there is a kind of enclave - the territory, controlled by the SAA and completely surrounded by pro-Turkish armed formations. The main object in this area is the Afis airfield.
A couple of hours after the first reports of shelling of positions and facilities of the Syrian army in Seraqib, it became known about the blowing up of a Turkish armored vehicle in the area of the settlement of Al-Mastuma, located south of the city of Idlib, the administrative center of the province of the same name. According to the latest data, the armored vehicle was seriously damaged. It argues, that there were no casualties. It is worth noting, that there is no evidence yet, whether the armored car belonged directly to the Turkish military contingent, based in Idlib, or is it the equipment of the armed "opposition" handed over by the Turks.
Meanwhile, the US State Department decided to remind, that two years ago the defeat of the ISIS terrorist group was announced (*banned in Russia). According to US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, "American mission in Syria and Iraq is far from over". According to Blinken, remnants of the terrorist group continue to carry out attacks, including infrastructure facilities and citizens of these countries. In this way, the Biden administration sends a signal that, that it is not going to completely withdraw the American contingent from Syria and Iraq.
