China completed the construction of Project Type corvettes-056/056A (class “Tszyandao”), the last two ships of the series became part of the PLA Navy. Reported by Navy Recognition.
Китайские Военно-морские силы в конце января-начале февраля приняли на вооружение два последних корвета “A type-056A”, тем самым доведя общее количество кораблей этой серии до 72 units (22 – “A type-056” and 50 – “A type-056A”). Строительство корветов данного проекта завершено.
Полное водоизмещение корветов класса “Tszyandao” – 1500 tonnes. Hull length - 89 m, width - 11 m. Cruising range – 2 thousands of miles, autonomy – 15 day. The armament includes: 76-mm gun mounts, four launchers of anti-ship missiles YJ-83 with a range of up to 160 km, HQ-10 eight-container short-range air defense system, two 324-mm triple-tube torpedo launchers.
Ships are intended exclusively for patrolling territorial waters., escort, enemy surface and submarine forces, fisheries protection.

Строительство кораблей этого типа одновременно осуществлялось на четырех судостроительных предприятиях: Hudong-Zhonghua in Shanghai, Huangpu Shipyard in Guangzhou, Liaonan Shipyard in Dalian, Wuchang Shipyard in Wuhan.
