Two prototypes of modernized Ka-52M helicopters sent for testing. Work on new helicopters was completed last year. This was told by the managing director of the Arsenyev Aviation Company “Progress” Yuri Denisenko.

While visiting AAK “Progress” Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev, Denisenko showed the working capacities of the enterprise and spoke about the program to create an upgraded version of the Ka-52M helicopter.

According to him, the enterprise produced two prototypes of the Ka-52M, they have already been sent to the National Helicopter Center “Mil and Kamov”, where are scheduled tests.

In the middle of last year “Russian Helicopters” reported, that the refinement of serial vehicles into a modernized version should be completed by the end 2020 of the year. After that, preliminary flight and joint state tests will follow.. During the modernization, the helicopter will receive new on-board systems: navigational, sighting, fire control and communication system, as well as new weapons, unified with Mi-28NM, booking and onboard defense complex. In this case, the machine will retain the previous glider., but will get additional fuel tanks.

The full test program for the KA-52M should be completed in September 2022 of the year. In total, it is planned to get into service 114 modernized helicopters.
