The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is interested in acquiring the so-called "infantry cannon" PG-14.5 "Night Predator" chambered for 14.5x114 mm. Such a sniper weapon is capable of not only hitting an ordinary target at ultra-long distances, but also destroy light armored vehicles or even damage a tank.
This year, the Armed Forces of Ukraine may receive Ukrainian-made large-caliber sniper systems, developed by the Kiev plant "Mayak", part of Ukroboronprom Group of Companies.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provides for the purchase of large-caliber rifles of 14,5 mm to meet the needs of the APU.

Large caliber rifle, which is also called "anti-material or infantry cannon", based on the 2X35 brand 14.5-mm self-loading self-loading cannon, designed for training firing without consuming the main ammunition of Soviet-style tanks, equipped with caliber guns 125 mm.
Rifle firing range, allegedly, exceeds 3,5 km. "Night Predator" is equipped with additional systems, in particular, muffler, which is at a distance 800 meters makes firing invisible to the enemy, and recoil compensator, allowing almost any fighter to use the "gun".
The first experimental samples of this weapon since 2015 years are tested in practice in hostilities in Donbass.
