25 January to the Soviet poet, theater and film actor, songwriter Vladimir Vysotsky would have turned 83 of the year. Actress, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Culture Elena Drapeko shared with FAN memories of Vysotsky and told, why she never managed to work with the artist.
"Well, of course, Vladimir Vysotsky stands apart in our culture, because it is such a unique phenomenon. If we evaluate his poetry, he is not a poet, and not a performer. He was a brilliant artist, I saw him on stage, but I think, that he is entirely, with all his creativity and personality, entered our national culture, - said Elena Drapeko.
Interlocutor Federal News Agency remembered, how she was approved for a role in the film Alexey Saltykov «Emelyan Pugachev», where Vladimir Vysotsky was also supposed to act. Alas, the cast has changed, so the artists could not work together.
"I'm very unlucky, because we were once approved to act together with him. He was supposed to play Emelyan Pugachev in the director's film Saltykov, and I'm his wife Ulyana. The costumes have already been made., but after that, Goskino suddenly changed their minds and instead of Vysotsky, another artist was appointed to this role, completely different type. And I'm not like his wife, I was good for his granddaughter, so our wonderful actress played in my costumes Tatyana Semina. So I could work with him., but it didn't happen. I still worry and regret, because [Vysotsky] would be a terrific Pugachev", — shared memories of the actress.
FAN previously wrote, why Vysotsky's son stopped going to his father's grave on the day of his death. According to Nikita Vysotsky, he avoids visits because of the numerous fans of the artist.
