Fees for sergeants and reserve officers of the Estonian armed forces, which are located at the military facility Tapa, identified certain problems.
These problems are connected with the uniforms of the Estonian military personnel. Reserve officers summoned to the training camp received equipment, which, as it turns out, does not save from cold weather. The thing is, that the time of collection, the air temperature in the Estonian town of Tapa drops to 12 degrees of frost with heavy snowfall and humidity over 90 percent.
Hats on thin artificial fur, with incessant snowfall, quickly become icy and do not save you from cold and wind, what causes inconvenience to Estonian military personnel when participating in combat training operations.
It is also indicated that, that winter hats of the Estonian army have a specific cut - hats are "shallow" – barely stay on top, which causes some inconvenience in case of strong gusts of wind.
To fix the situation, the command allowed the use of additional “accessories” – hoods, who put on their heads under their hats.
Various types of military equipment are used during maneuvers in Estonian Tapa, including self-propelled artillery.
Tapa landfill is used not only by Estonian military personnel, but also representatives of other NATO countries, which are located in this Baltic country on a rotational basis.
