On sections of the contact line in Nagorno-Karabakh, occupied by regular troops, there was no retreat. Former Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia Movses Hakobyan stated this.

According to the Armenian general, people talk about the situation in the army, not related to her. He accused journalists of escalating the situation, who invite people to analytical interviews, never served, but “having an idea of reforming the army”. he stressed, that in order, to win, knowledge and ability required, it is impossible to win a war with troops of 20 human. There, where were the regular parts, there was no retreat. Unorganized volunteers and militias retreated.

Organization of the process of feeding people, collecting them in a bunch – this is also a crime, because everyone was instructed to, that in one place there should not be more than 2-3 people, because our airborne capabilities were a major challenge

In turn, another ex-Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia Artak Davtyan criticized the MP, Head of the Defense Commission Andranik Kocharian for demanding the resignation of Defense Minister David Tonoyan and criticism of the army leadership in general. According to him, Kocharyan, holding the post of first deputy minister of defense for a very short time, imagines myself “great general”, but for some reason he didn't want to go to Karabakh.

meanwhile, Chief of the General Staff of the RA Armed Forces Onik Gasparyan assigned all responsibility for the defeat to himself. According to Gasparyan, Artsakh Defense Army's forces successfully repelled all enemy attacks, causing serious losses, destroying in large numbers both manpower and equipment, but they themselves suffered heavy losses. Attempts to stop the war in the early stages were rejected by Baku and Ankara.
A very cruel war was imposed on Armenia, and in an unequal struggle, the Armenian soldier and officer demonstrated determination to fight to the end and the highest moral qualities
