As stated in the description of the video, the exercises were attended by anti-aircraft gunners from five air defense formations. The main task – organization of layered air defense and repelling a massive strike of ballistic and cruise missiles.
In reflection “raid” anti-aircraft systems and complexes took part in live firing: S-300V4, “Buk-M3”, “Tor-M2”, combat vehicles "Typhoon-air defense" with MANPADS “Willow”. As “the enemy” a target complex was used “Adjutant”, capable of creating a complex target environment using a wide range of air attack simulators. The targets included in the complex can simulate targets from helicopters to cruise missiles.
The exercises took place in several stages. At the first stage, the S-300V4 long-range air defense systems repelled the strike of aeroballistic missiles, by performing combat launches on targets, descended from a height of more 200 km. At the second stage, medium-range air defense systems “Buk-M3” and short range “Tor-M2”, repelled a cruise missile attack, flying at altitudes less 10 m. SAM “Buk-M3” hit targets at a distance of up to 40 km, a”Tor-M2″at a distance of 15 km.
Air defense calculations with MANPADS “Willow” on combat vehicles “Typhoon-air defense” ensured the interception and destruction of the remaining air attack weapons at ranges up to 6 thousand. meters and height 3,5 thousand. m.
The crews participating in the shooting destroyed more 30 aerial single and group targets at different heights and distances. Exercises recognized as successful.
