Azerbaijani troops continue offensive in Nagorno-Karabakh. The most active hostilities are in the southwestern and southeastern directions.
The situation boils down to, that the Azerbaijani army advanced almost close to the so-called Kornidzor ledge, trying to reach the strategically important Lachin (Berdzor). Besides, Azerbaijani troops minimize the possibility of a counterattack by the troops of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic in the east - from Martuni (Hoxhavenda).

In such a situation, we can state, that over the NKR hangs a serious danger of losing not only the buffer territories, separating Artsakh from the forward positions of the Azerbaijani troops, but also the territories of the republic itself. If Azerbaijani formations enter the Shushi and Lachin region (Berdzora), then they will need to align the front from the aforementioned Kornidzor ledge to the northeast and finish what they started. Aligning the front with the enemy – the, that from a military point of view, the Armenian troops should not be allowed, if they are really going to keep control of the NCR.
But one thing – words about “avoiding” certain actions of the Azerbaijani army, and the other – real capabilities of the NKR troops. While the situation is clearly not in their favor.
