Russia has lost more 120 unmanned aerial vehicles since the beginning of hostilities in Donbass. According to the data, represented in the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in Kiev studied almost all UAVs available in Russia.

Since the beginning of hostilities in 2014 year in Donbass and to this day, the Ukrainian army was able to shoot down more 120 Russian drones, which in one form or another hit the Armed Forces of Ukraine as trophies. According to the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Ukraine currently has almost all types and models of Russian UAVs as trophy samples.

allegedly, the following Russian drones are available and studied: “Trencher-10”, “Watch”, “Aileron-3CB”, “Garnet-1”, “Garnet-2”, “Garnet-3”, “Garnet-4” (“Rubezh-20”), “Tahion”, “Outpost”, “The flag” and others.

According to statistics, cited by the Ukrainian media, 45% drones were shot down by various air defense systems, including anti-aircraft guns and MANPADS, 40% was shot down by small arms, the rest of the drones are on the account of electronic warfare systems (EW). also notes, that several UAVs fell on their own due to a technical malfunction.


The study of downed drones in particular shows, that the Russian Federation is forced to replace foreign components with lower quality Russian and commercial ones, due to which the tactical and technical characteristics deteriorate and the reliability of the devices decreases
