The US Army may receive another helicopter-type reconnaissance drone. As reported by NPlus1, Anduril, a US company, has unveiled a new Ghost reconnaissance drone 4.
As the developers say, new reconnaissance drone Ghost 4 is able to independently conduct reconnaissance of the area and notify the operator of detected objects. Besides, it is possible to combine several drones of this type into one group, which will conduct reconnaissance and transmit information to one operator. At the same time, the number of drones in the group, as stated, not limited.
The drone is made according to the classic helicopter scheme, fuselage Ghost 4 resembles a rifle and is foldable. In working condition, the length of the device is 2,7 m, folded – 1,1 meter, which allows you to carry it in a transport case. Width – 0,4 m. Motor electric, low noise, flight duration is up to 100 minutes.
The drone is equipped with modular reconnaissance systems. In addition to a block with a stabilized electron-optical system, additional modules can be installed on it (laser pointer, additional computing modules, communication system).
Preparing a drone for flight takes less than a minute. The device comes out of the case, unfolds, activates and takes off.
