The Ministry of Defense received a new batch of modernized 2S19M2 self-propelled howitzers “Msta -C”. Self-propelled guns have been modernized at the enterprise “Uraltransmash” under a government contract 2019-2021 years. It is reported by the press service “Uralvagonzavod” (UVR).

As explained in the press-service, delivered improved ACS “Msta -C” have significant structural differences from the previous modification of the artillery mount: they are equipped with a new automated fire control system, allowing to significantly increase the rate of fire, there is a possibility of using digital electronic cards, which significantly speeds up orienteering.
152-mm self-propelled guns “Msta -C” equipped with a programmable loading complex. Maximum range - 29 km. ammunition - 50 shells. Speed - up 60 kmh, range - more 600 km. Upgraded self-propelled guns can fire high-explosive fragmentation, active rockets-jammers, as well as high-precision guided ammunition “Krasnopol”.
152-millimeter howitzer “Msta -C” put into service in 1989 year. Designed to destroy manpower, tactical nuclear weapons, artillery batteries, armored vehicles, anti-tank and air defense weapons, as well as for the destruction of field fortifications and enemy command posts. Fire can be conducted at observed and unobserved targets from closed positions and direct fire. When firing, they are used as shots from an ammunition rack, and supplied from the ground.
