Экипажи ударных вертолетов Ка-52 "Аллигатор", Ми-28Н "Ночной охотник" and the Mi-35M of the 4th Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Southern Military District provided air cover for the columns of military equipment of the 49th Combined Arms Army in the North Caucasus.
Tactical exercises on the ground with the involvement of units of two combined arms formations, air crews and military command and support units were held in the North Caucasus, reported in the press service of the Southern Military District. The crews of the helicopters completed the tasks of searching for places of organized ambushes and positions of artillery on the way of the movement of the convoy of military equipment.
Also, the security and defense units conducted a practice of repelling saboteur attacks and overcame conventionally infected areas. More than five thousand military personnel are involved in the exercises, and 1,5 thousands of units of military and special equipment.
