New dual-circuit turbojet engine RD-93MA developed “UEC-Klimov” bench tests will be held in the pressure chamber of the P.I. Central Institute of Aviation Motors. Baranova (CIAM), the new power plant will have to confirm the altitude and speed characteristics in flight simulation conditions. This was reported by the press service of the United Engine Corporation (CSD).

As explained in the corporation, a set of tests in a large thermal vacuum chamber of TsIAM will be held as part of the R&D project for RD-93MA. Upon successful completion of this test stage, the engine will enter the flight design stage. The engine has already been sent from St. Petersburg to Moscow.

During the tests, the engine will simulate conditions as close as possible to flight. The operation of the automatic control system of the BARK-93MA engine will be tested
