The first serial frigate project 22350 “Fleet Admiral Kasatonov” left Baltiysk to continue passing the final stage of state tests. It is reported by the press service of the Western Military District.
In the marine ranges of the Baltic Fleet, the ship’s crew together with industry representatives will check the operability of the ship’s weapons at sea. At sea, the frigate’s crew will perform a series of anti-submarine missions in collaboration with the Baltic Fleet’s project corvettes 20380 “Persistent” and “Guarding”

As stated, at the naval ranges of the Baltic Fleet, ships will practice tactical operations against a conditional enemy submarine using anti-submarine weapons and anti-torpedo protection.
In early April, the press service “Northern shipyard” reported, what “Admiral Kasatonov” started passing the final stage of state tests. The ship will conduct final tests in the Baltic Sea, after which he will return to the GCC “Severnaya Verf” to conduct an audit and prepare for transfer to the Russian Navy. The press service explained, that, taking into account the state tests, the transfer of the frigate may take place at the end of May – early June. The customer is not informed about the postponement of the delivery of the ship.
Frigate “Admiral Kasatonov” is the second ship of the project 22350 and the first serial after the head frigate “Admiral Gorshkov”. Displacement 5 thousand tons in length 135 m and width 16 m. The frigate is able to pass 4500 miles, while developing speed to 29 knots. Autonomy of swimming is 30 day. Crew – from 170 human.

In service with the frigate are: 130-mm artillery unit A-192, air defense missile system “Poliment-Redoute”, launchers 16 anti-ship missiles “onyx” or “Caliber”, anti-submarine complex “Package”, antisubmarine helicopter Ka-27.
