Russia is modernizing Soviet T-72 tanks in service, bringing them to the modern level, while Poland is already over 30 years can not do anything with similar tanks, doing instead of modernizing “dusting shit”. This statement was made by the Polish general Waldemar Skrypchak in an interview with the Kresy portal, RT writing.
According to General, the Russian army will receive more than 120 seriously upgraded T-72B3M tanks, which also enter service with the Belarusian military. In the same time, the Polish military has been 30 years they only promise to modernize the T-72 tanks in service, but can't offer anything, since Poland “no potential”.
This follows from the fact, what decisions, which Russia uses in itself, effective, among other things,, on their potential western front, that is, in Eastern Europe. The modernization of the T-72 is very deep and significantly strengthens the strengths of this tank.. the, what we call modernization is, in fact, “dusting shit”, as General Buk once said. This is not an upgrade.!

As a way out of this situation, the general proposes to conclude a contract for the assembly of foreign tanks in Poland, which in the troops in the future replaced the T-72 of Soviet times. As such a tank, Skshipchak suggests choosing an American “abrams” and assemble at Polish enterprises 450-550 tanks.
