SR-2MP submachine gun “Heather” – this is an upgraded version of the p / p SR-2M, equipped with Picatinny rail with the option of fitting a silencer. Currently, this submachine gun is in service with units of the FSB and FSO., as well as some special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The submachine gun was developed at TsNIITochmash in the city of Klimovsk and was first shown to the public in 1999 year. “Heather” was created as a weapon, capable of hitting the enemy in personal second-class body armor at a distance of up to 200 m and unarmored vehicles at a distance of 100 m.
Caliber – 9X21, was originally developed for a powerful cartridge of increased penetration of the Serdyukov SP-10 design. Can use SP-10 cartridges (with a bullet with a special steel core of increased armor penetration), SP-11 (with low-recoil bullet with lead core), SP-12 (with expansive bullet of increased stopping action), SP-13 (with tracer bullet).
