The Russian government has imposed restrictions on the export of grain crops. Now Russia will export no more than seven million tons of grain per year, but not 43,3 million tons, like before. Most of the grain sent abroad was wheat - 35 million tons.

This decision by the Russian authorities are concerned about a number of international organizations. there's fear, that it violates the established world food supply.
Besides wheat, Russian exports of corn, barley and rye. Restricting the export of these crops abroad due to food security concerns in a pandemic coronavirus. presumably, quota will operate until July.
Moscow believes, it is first necessary to ensure the domestic demand for grain. Russian authorities emphasize the importance of cereal crops for domestic consumption. The government wants to avoid a shortage of these products and to prevent the growth of prices for it.
The restrictions will not affect grain exports to Belarus and Kazakhstan, as these countries are members of the EAEC.
Their dissatisfaction with this decision of Moscow expressed the World Health Organization and the World Trade Organization.
