Two new missile brigade and the motorized division will be set up in the Southern Military District, the end of the year (YUVO). This was announced by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
Speaking at a Defense Ministry board, Defense Minister said, what in 2020 It was planned in the district 46 organizational measures, among them – creating Motorized Rifle Division and two brigades of missile troops and artillery. It is also planned this year 105 bilateral exercises in the district, including large-scale exercises “Caucasus 2020”, for which preparations have already begun.
Besides, on the eve of the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II completed reconstruction of the legendary 150-th Guards Motorized Rifle Division, Battle flag which has become one of the symbols of the Great Victory.
Referring to the Eastern Military District, Shoigu said, that this year in the district planned to set up two new regiments: one tank and one motorized infantry.
Last year conducted 69 organizational measures, formed mixed air division control and anti-aircraft missile brigade. This year scheduled 42 orgmeropriyatiya. Most important – creation in Primorye motorized infantry and tank regiments
