Gone today, 17 Martha, from the life of a writer, founder of the National Bolshevik Party1 (banned in Russia) Eduard Limonov remained a teenager until the end of his life. In an interview Federal News Agency told the leader of the international "Eurasian Movement" who knew the deceased well, philosopher, political scientist Alexander Dugin, with whom they once created this political structure, in many ways has become a kind of "cradle" for many modern politicians, artists, writers, public figures.
Dugin confessed, that it is difficult for him to talk about the recently deceased Limonov.
“We were friends with him at one time., - he shared. - Together we created the National Bolshevik Party. Then our paths diverged significantly. certainly, Eduard Veniaminovich - a man of the era, man of time, man of the world, which is not. Almost all, who was in this world, already gone. He was one of those rare people, who preserved the spirit of a very special culture and a special intellectual circle ".
According to Dugin, the death of the founder of NBP1 is a break in ties.
“Because people, who came after this circle are completely different, - the FAN interlocutor considers. - Limonov was organically a carrier of a certain atmosphere, some approach, some attitude to life, which no longer occurs. As Nietzsche said, all virtues and vices grow from one root. So it was in his case.. It was a man, who really loved himself. He couldn't really love anyone, except myself, but in this he was consistent, honest and radical. He stood in the center of himself with some challenge, in which one could read as something Little Russian, and something heroic, as something liberal, and something anarchic ".
The leader of MED considers, that Limonov was a teenager, who love themselves.
“When he was young, this teenage self love, in a sense infinite in its compactness, in its locked in body, reticence, was extremely charming. - he believes. - So I still think, that his early works, including his famous novel [speech about the novel "Teenager Savenko"], really are works of great literature, comparable to Celine, or maybe even partly with Jünger. He really was a man, who expressed with the utmost clarity this egocentric isolation on himself - free from anything, from any fears, authorities, respect or values. With such clarity, which, generally, and constitutes a great literature of great writers ".
The philosopher recalls, that later this brightness of a young teenager Savenko began to fade a little and look more and more strange with age.
“But he stayed true to himself. He died a boy, - stated Dugin. - I even invented in due time, when we had a fight, call him "Grandfather", for, to emphasize the complete discrepancy of his self-awareness, which was and remained adolescent, and objective age, with whom Limonov simply did not reckon at all. He died in 14 years. He has not moved from this moment for a second. He was a boy, he was a teenager. He was egocentric, narcissistic, cheerful, lively and very stubborn narcissist. In fact, in literature, this teenage narcissism, especially in its first, early works, left almost a trace of the classics ".
Alexander Dugin believes, that Limonov was very different from most contemporary cultural figures.
“He was a totally cheeky man, unlike those cowards and idiots, which is full of literature and culture, surrounding him - and the Soviet, and post-Soviet, - the interlocutor of FAN is sure. - Against this background, he was distinguished by some freedom. By and large,, he did not put anyone and nothing in a penny. it, actually, you also need to be able. He was, in my opinion, anarchist, who opposed everyone and himself. is he, of course, shocked many with his nationalism, his patriotism, which he had an application to his own self-centeredness. From this they were indescribable and at the same time quite attractive.. And anyway, even if repulsive, then fascinatingly repulsive ".
Wherein, according to Dugin, Eduard Veniaminovich was not a difficult person, but very bright. Basically, he was happy, because I did not enter into any problems and even tragedies, who happened to him.
“And great tragedies happened to him, but they did not affect him at all, he was so solid, finished, self-sufficient person "- said Dugin, adding, that they communicated a little since the 1998 year of conflict [event, went down in history as the "split of the NBP"].
Alexander Dugin emphasized, that Limonov has not changed over time.
“When I met him from time to time, I was amazed, that this person has not changed at all in recent 40 years. AND, as it appears, judging by his literature, he was unchanged before. A teenager left us, about which age broke. He showed, that a real teenager never gets old - never gets smarter, does not grow wise. He is such a, what it was. There is something in this, in my opinion, delicious and, simultaneously, surprisingly, touching ", - he said.
Already finishing the conversation with FAN, Dugin recalled one old story.
“We came from some Armenian bandit. Limonov had the absurd idea of inviting him to finance the National Bolshevik Party at its earliest stage.. And Limonov tells me: “Here’s how I would quickly die, to die a teenager, to die a hero, so as not to grow old, do not be sick, not decay? Otherwise I am already beginning to feel the signs of physical old age and it is very important for me to die as a teenager. ". And that was his goal - to die young, strong, somewhere in battle, - sure Alexander Gelevich. - And it seems to me, that even though, that he lived for many years from that moment, since that winter night, when we walked with him through cold Moscow, after a hopeless encounter with a completely expressionless, absolutely senseless Armenian "authority", I think, that he still won. He remained in his not even youth, and adolescence, and never got old ".
Recall, that Eduard Limonov died in the evening 17 March aged 77 years. According to available information, he suffered from cancer. He was hospitalized 17 Martha. The writer had two operations, however, his body did not cope.
Official cause of death, as well as the date and place of the funeral will be announced later.
