Last year, Russia and Vietnam signed a contract to purchase a squadron of combat training aircraft Yak-130. The scope of supply is not less than 12 aircraft worth more than 350 millions of dollars.
On it informs edition "Vedomosti", referring to the two managers, working in the field of defense industry.
Party Yak-130 will replace older aircraft L-39 production of Czechoslovakia, Vietnam which uses a 80-ies of the last century.
Presumably the new aircraft will receive the 915 th Training Wing, which formed two years ago in one of the air bases. Military unit also includes a training helicopter squadron, manned by Russian helicopters Mi-8.
The Federal Service of the Russian Federation on Military-Technical Cooperation and Rosoboronexport refused to comment on details of the contract.
Andrei Frolov, performing the duties of the chief editor of the magazine "Arms Export", considers, that the purchase of aircraft Yak-130 opens up the opportunity for Vietnam to that country of modern Russian fighter Su-35 or Su-30cm. At least, Belarus and Myanmar immediately after the acquisition of the party of the Yak-130 signed contracts with Russia on the supply of Su-30cm.
Previously, the manufacturer conducted a revision UBS Yak-130, based on the data, received from the Russian pilots during the operation of these funds training and combat aircraft.
Recall, that recently the Western edition Military Watch has put the Yak-130 “last place” in the UBS list. This ranking can hardly be called impartial.
