The United States calls on Denmark to purchase more F-35 fighter. This message was made by the foreign policy representative of Washington, Carla Sands, disappointed with the delivery of "all 27 machines "of this type.
These are not many planes compared to 38-40 units of F-16, which you currently have. This is actually a reduction in the number of aircraft, therefore Denmark, probably, should study this issue [expanding procurement]

Against this background, open discontent was voiced among Danish politicians.. Defense Minister Trine Brahmsen stressed, that it is not planned to buy more fighters, how to increase the military budget in the near future.
