Aerobatic team Russian VKS “Russian Knights” received four new single multipurpose fighter Su-35S. Aircraft have been obtained at the airport in an aircraft factory Komsomolsk-na-flight and carried in Moscow Kubinka.

Four multipurpose fighter Su-35S, already painted in the colors of the aviation group “Russian Knights”, were received by the pilots of the group at the airfield of the manufacturer KnAAZ, after which they made a flight to the place of permanent basing at the Kubinka airfield near Moscow, having made an intermediate landing on the way in Novosibirsk. Su-35S replenished the fleet of the group, consisting of eight two-seat fighters Su-30SM, received by the group in October-November 2016 of the year. Moreover, previously reported, what with getting Su-35S, the group will not give up aerobatics on the Su-30SM.
With the transfer of these Su-35S aircraft plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur ahead of schedule fulfilled the supply plan for these fighters for the State Defense Order 2019 of the year, total passing 10 Su-35S. Of these, four received “Russian Knights”, and six Su-35S were delivered to the 790th fighter aviation regiment of the 105th mixed aviation division of the 6th Leningrad Red Banner Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Western Military District, Borisovsky Khotilovo stationed at the airport in the Tver Region.
“Russian Knights” – the only aerobatic team in the world, showing aerobatics on the heavy fighters Su-27 and Su-30SM, differing from combat aircraft only in color. Was formed 5 April 1991 years on the basis of the 1st aviation squadron of the Center for the display of aircraft at the Kubinka airfield. It consists of five pilots: Colonels Andrei Alekseev and Oleg Erofeev, lieutenant colonel Sergey Shcheglov, Majors Vladimir Kochetov and Igor Tkachenko.
