In Egypt, started the first Russian-Egyptian joint exercises of Air Defense Forces “Arrow friendship – 2019”. Exercises will be held with 26 October 7 November in the territory of the training tactical center of the air defense forces of Egypt. It is reported by the press service of the Southern Military District.
Russian military personnel from the Southern Military District arrived in Egypt to participate in the first joint air defense exercises “Arrow Friendship-2019” – just over a hundred people. The exercises will be held at the Egyptian Air Defense Tactical Training Center and will last from 26 October 7 November.
On the territory of the African continent launched the first joint exercise of air defense forces “Friendship Arrow 2019”

The Defense Ministry reported, that the main task of these exercises – exchange of experience of the military personnel of two countries, as well as ensuring the safety of airspace and the organization of air defense to cover important facilities. Military personnel will improve their practical skills in realizing the combat capabilities of air defense systems and in joint actions to repulse conventional enemy attacks in various conditions.
Anti-aircraft systems will be used during exercises, armed with air defense of Egypt, namely: anti-aircraft missile complexes “Tor-M2E” and “Buk-M2E”, self-propelled anti-aircraft mounts ZSU-23-4 “Şilka”, as well as man-portable air defense systems “Needle”.
