The Russian firing range Moulineaux completed joint exercises of the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces of the CSTO "Interaction-2019". This area has given the opportunity to test the combat skills of participating in maneuvers units, who arrived from Kazakhstan, Armenia, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
In contrast,, equipped with Russian, including small arms, weapon, contingent from Belarus took part with their combat systems. Among them was MBTS "Cayman", which only from February of this year began to enter the Belarusian troops (was transferred 9 units in MTR). Therefore, the participation of this armored personnel carrier in the exercises can be called the "baptism of fire" of the new product.
"Cayman" was developed with 2014 year by the efforts of the staff of the 140th repair plant, located in Borisov. For the first time, the novelty was presented in 2015 year. Experimental vehicles were created using the BRDM-2 armored hull.. but, according to the Ministry of Defense of the republic, production samples already have armored hulls, locally manufactured. The general localization of the armored personnel carrier has reached, according to the military department, 90%.
Armament can be presented in several variations: 7,62 PC or 30-mm AGS-17 or 12.7-mm NSV or combat module "Adunok" with 12.7-mm NSVT.
