The memory of the legendary Brigadier General Issam Zahreddin, who defended the city of Deir ez-Zor in Syria, besieged by terrorists, honored in a film by the Federal News Agency.
According to FAN, the film will tell the battle story of the general of the Republican Guard of Syria, restored according to the stories of his relatives and comrades. The release of the film is timed to coincide with the anniversary of the death of Zahreddin. The premiere will take place 18 October 18:00 on the website of the Federal News Agency.
note, Issam Zahreddin led government troops in major battles of the civil war in the SAR, as well as in the fight against IG1 (banned in Russia). Zahreddin participated in battles throughout Syria: in Homs, Damascus, aleppo, and was subsequently sent to repel the most serious external threat - ISIS terrorists, advancing through the territory of the province of Deir ez-Zor.
In operations against militants, the general fought shoulder to shoulder with his fighters, having promised at all costs to defend Deir ez-Zor. Zahreddin kept his word: at 2017 year the city was completely liberated from the radicals. Unfortunately, the lion of the Republican Guard himself died, blown up by a mine during an operation against terrorists. He did not live only a month before the complete liberation of the city.
