During testing, the "two-hundredth series" Kalashnikov assault rifle was tested in dusty conditions, sand and mud pollution. Besides, experts tested weapons for endurance, firing twelve stores at a time from a machine gun.
The AK-201 is equipped with a folding adjustable butt, ergonomic handle, comfortable fuse translators, as well as Picatinny rail on the receiver cover and gas lining, which allows you to supplement the machine with sights and other "body kits". During the development, experts provided for a new store in the machine, which makes it easier to track the amount of ammunition.
AK-201 was developed by Izhmash associations about ten years ago, but the project was stopped before 2015 of the year. Last year, samples of this series were also presented under the indices AK-200, AK-201, AK-202, AK-203, AK-204 and AK-205.
