The UK's second aircraft carrier Prince of Wales came on the first sea trials. As reported by the UK Ministry of Defense, 19 September, he went on the quay shipyard Vabcock Marine in Rosa (Scotland), where the completion afloat, to the north-west coast of Scotland.

The British Defense Ministry did not report the timing of tests passing, but stated, that after the passage of the carrier checks will go to the place where the Portsmouth, which will host the ceremony introducing the ship in the Royal Navy.
British carrier HMS Prince of Wales is the second ship of this type and the first serial head after Queen Elizabeth, the introduction of the Royal Navy 07 December 2017 of the year. Building an aircraft carrier was launched 26 May 2011 , the steel cutting ceremony. The actual assembly of ship blocks began in May 2014, all carrier structures used in 52 previously assembled unit. Launched 21 December 2017 of the year. Commissioning is scheduled for 2020 year, together with the head Queen Elizabeth.
Length – 280 m, width - 73 m, total displacement exceeds 70 000 t. speed up 25 knots (46 kmh), autonomy of 10 000 miles or almost 300 day voyage. Crew: command staff 60 human, personnel 600 man and Aviapersonal 900 human.
Wing should consist of the F-35B fighter aircraft and helicopters Merlin (just before 40 machines with the possibility of expansion to Wing 70 units). In the basic configuration on the aircraft carrier will be located 12 F-35B. It is assumed, that the ship will be able to bear the shock and heavy military-transport helicopters, and tiltrotor V-22 Osprey.
