In India, the rapid popularity among users is gaining Video, in which the Indian and US troops celebrate the end of a joint exercise Yudh Abhyas. The exercises were held in landfills in the United States, including the Lewes military base area.
Spread across various sites, including Indian media, a video with a joint performance of an Indian marching song gathers an impressive audience.
We're talking about a video, in which soldiers of the Indian and US Armed Forces sing the song “Badluram ka badan zamin ke neche hai”. This is drill (marching) song of the Indian regiment from Assam. The servicemen not only sang the song, but they also danced to it. Moreover, the American soldiers admitted, that many of them did not understand, what is this song about, “but the rhythm is peppy”.
So what is she talking about?
The song is dedicated to that, how the Assam Regiment fought against the Japanese in Burma (Myanmar) during the Second World War. During one of the battles, a soldier named Badluram died, but the command was not informed about this, so that battle-weary soldiers continue to receive additional food rations for it. In India, Badluram is considered a hero, who “fed his unit after death”.
Moreover, during the performance of the song after the American-Indian exercises, the word “Yaps” was used ("japa"), what, eg, in the USA it is interpreted as an offensive name for the inhabitants of the Land of the Rising Sun.
