Russian media heated up a new topic: attack by Korean poachers on a search group of Russian border guards in the exclusive economic zone near the Kito-Yamato Bank in the Sea of Japan. As a result of the attack, three Russian border guards received injuries of varying severity, two North Korean schooners were detained. In total, the "catch" of Russian border guards amounted to more than 80 DPRK citizens.

Some details of the incident are already known today.. So there is no point in dwelling on this. It is much more important to understand, why is this happening. Why do we allow such an attitude towards ourselves, while, what exactly are we, Russia, we are the main supplier of humanitarian aid to the North Korean people? While, that we do our best to support this people in their confrontation, eg, USA.
so, is North Korea our friend? Yes, the question should be put this way. For us, at least. We've always shared and are still sharing the world, like in the song: "And not a friend and not an enemy, as well…"So what kind of country is it - DPRK? The issue is complex and requires a fairly serious deepening into the ideology of North Korea. We will find the answer there. In the Juche ideology developed by Kim Il Sung. Moreover, it is the Juche ideology that is enshrined in the DPRK Constitution as the only state ideology..
Let's look at the situation from the Korean side, by people, who absorbed Kim Il Sung's teachings with mother's milk. You can write a lot about, what is juche. And you can express all ideas very briefly. Self-sufficiency and identity of the people based on the army, which itself is the people.

Such "warriors" should be reminded of the very recent (17 July this year) the case of the Russian seiner "Xianhailin-8", who was detained by the North Koreans in 53 miles off the coast of the DPRK. Then only good relations between our countries helped to resolve this incident in the shortest possible time. North Koreans counted, that the seiner was in 30 kilometers from the coast. And this, in difficult relations between our countries, would be enough for arrest and trial.
An example of a forceful solution to the problem before our eyes. What the United States could do against the DPRK? Absolutely nothing. North Korea has proven more than once, what can withstand the powers that be. Forceful pressure on Koreans will do nothing, except for the aggravation of the situation in the region. And the war will lead to huge losses (remember the walled country), or to the use of nuclear weapons to destroy part of the Korean Peninsula as such. No matter what Russia, nor China, nor Japan can go. Our territories and territories of neighboring countries will also suffer.

And now for the second important question.. How could it be, that the inspection team was attacked by poachers? Why the border guards were unable to defend themselves? Why loss?
The procedure for inspecting ships and ensuring the security of inspection teams at border guards has been worked out to automatism. Especially in the Far East, where almost every day there are cases of penetration into the territorial waters of Russia. So it's not worth talking about unprofessionalism or poor training of the border ship's crew.. What then?
Today we can only guess, put forward a version of the answer to this question. Inspection of the FSB Border Service will sort it out on the spot. Most likely, the sailors were either simply psychologically not ready to open fire to kill or had an order to "open fire as a last resort and over their heads". but again, this is the version, not supported by facts. The FSB of Russia will officially say this.
What's next? Will this incident be the last or will we soon hear about Korean poachers again?, pursuits and detentions? agree, this is a rather serious question. We must think about the life and health of our border guards. This license specifies not only the type of fishing and the volume of products obtained, but also the fishing area.

Why did the captains openly violate the law? The reason is simple: squid migration and formation of commercial aggregations off the coast. The count was on the long rocking of the border guards and a large number of fishing schooners. The invasion of poachers was so massive, that the FSB Border Service was forced to urgently transfer additional ships from the coast of the Sakhalin Region. As a result, Russian border guards 12 September detained 16 North Korean schooners and more 250 fishermen.
