Iran has built a new radar station (radar) Falagh, used to track ballistic missiles and cruise missiles, and drones. It is reported by the Iranian news agency Mehr.
New Iranian Falagh radar was presented on Saturday 10 August Brigadier General Alireza Iran's air defense Sabahi Fahd. It was created on the basis of surveillance radar “Gamma-DE”, Russia supplied Iran. According to General, sanctions, imposed by the US, do not allow to obtain spare parts for the Russian equipment, so it was decided to create on its basis the national radar.
Iranian specialists have established on the domestic radar component base and gave it the name Falagh. New surveillance radar designed to track ballistic, cruise missiles, bespilotikov and it can be integrated into the country's air defense system of the country, together with the existing radar-300.
Once again, the gallant young generation of Army Air Defense successfully have touched someone else's system, which has not been used for a long time. They performed a difficult task, which could not handle the manufacturers of the system

As previously reported EADaily, Iran's Defense Ministry 9 June this year introduced a new medium-range air defense missile system Khordad-15. The new SAM is capable of detecting enemy aircraft within a radius 150 km, unobtrusive aerial platforms - to 85 km. The affected area, depending on the type of target can reach 45 km.
Besides, the celebration of the Day of the Defense Industry, which is celebrated in Iran 22 August, Defense of the country promises to present a national long-range air defense system “Bavaria-373”.
