During the exercises at the training ground, elements of a tactical battle with live firing were worked out to destroy a group of illegal armed formations of a conditional enemy and his armored equipment, while observing increased maneuverability and stealth. Airborne artillery units were transferred to positions with the help of army aviation helicopters.

Special vehicles took part in the exercise “field” with 82mm mortars “Tray” and “UAZ” with 120mm mortars “sleigh”, which were transferred by Mi-26 helicopters, the rest of the personnel were transferred by Mi-8AMTSh helicopters.

The chief of artillery of the Ulyanovsk formation of the guard, Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Chikunov said, that the exercises were practicing the actions of the airborne forces as part of a highly mobile brigade “a new type”, including helicopter connections.

Recall, what special cars “field” 4X4 for the Ministry of Defense were first demonstrated in 2017 year at the joint exercises of Russian and Belarusian paratroopers near Ulyanovsk.
