Over the past few days, the armed formations of the Yemeni Houthis have made significant progress in the fight against Saudi Arabia. The successful use of kamikaze drones has become more of a rule for them., than an exception.
Recently, the Qasif-K2 UAVs of the Houthis successfully attacked Jizan airport twice, converted by the Saudi authorities into a military facility. Blows, inflicted 4 and 8 July, completely destroyed a building the size of 50 on 17 m. Among other things, the parking of unmanned aerial vehicles of the Saudi Armed Forces was hit.
Yemenis are so confident, that they presented part of their developments, including drones, as well as ballistic and cruise missiles in the capital of the state of Sanaa. The presentation took place in the form of a special exhibition, last Sunday. The event was named after Saleh al-Samad, President of the Supreme Political Council of Yemen, who was killed in a pinpoint airstrike, inflicted by Saudi Arabia in April 2018 of the year.

Houthis drove out the UAE
The Houthis could not have come up with a better time to present their own achievements. These days the United Arab Emirates (OAE) announced, that they will begin the withdrawal of troops from Yemen, confirming, that the Houthi strategy of striking targets of the coalition, led by Saudi Arabia, on the invaders' own territory, has become an effective deterrent.
On Tuesday, the Yemen Operations Command Center media bureau showed off the Samad reconnaissance drone 3 and the Qasef 2K kamikaze drone: information about them was not previously published by the Houthis, although both were actively used by them to defeat vital targets in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
Drones used to strike at Abu Dhabi and Dubai airports, as well as for other targets in the southern regions of Saudi Arabia – Khamis Mushait and Jizan.
According to the Houthis, published on Tuesday, flight range of Samad-1 more 500 km. It can directly track targets and transmit this data to the command center. Samad-3, in its turn, capable of, according to the developers, fly from 1500 to 1700 km. They also state, that, thanks to the use of special technologies, its detection by air defense systems is difficult.

Not only UAVs
At the Sunday exhibition, open Mahdi al-Mashat, head of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee of the Houthis, the cruise missile "Quds-1" was also demonstrated, which was used in the attack on the Barakah nuclear power plant in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, December 2017 of the year. UAE denied, that an attack on a power plant ever took place.
Brigadier General Yahya Sari, Yemeni Armed Forces Representative, based in Sanaa, said on Tuesday at a press conference in the capital, that several generations of the Quds-1 cruise missile are still under development.
