“Uralvagonzavod” completed development work to modernize 125mm gun tank T-14 “Armani” for new ammunition. This was reported in the company's annual report, posted on the website UVZ.
according to the report, at Uralvagonzavod fulfilled all works on part of development work “Armani” modernization of 125 mm gun 2A82-1M. In addition, the company in the framework of the ROC has begun manufacture of guns for testing new types of shots.
It is also reported, that work began on “agreement applicable products “The Falcon” system 125mm gun 2A82-1M”, without revealing, what kind of product is created in the framework of the ROC.
The brochure said common Defense, that tank armor gun T-14 “Armani”, including guided missiles, is 1200 mm, whereas T-tanks 90M, T 72B3M, T-72B3, T 80VM have armor in 700 mm. It is assumed, that armor upgraded gun raised accuracy 2A82-1M new ammunition has greatly enhanced.
State tests of the T-14 “Armani” will begin this year. AT 2018 year's forum “Army” Ministry of Defense signed a contract for the supply of the troops before the end of 2021 of the year 132 armored T-14 and T-15 platform “Armani”. At the same time Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov said, that the bulk purchase of new tanks will not be because of their high cost. Instead, less money will be spent on upgrading existing tanks on arms, such as T-72 and T-90.
Earlier UVZ stated, that we are ready to create on the basis of T-14 “Armani” new tank with 152 mm gun.
