Petersburg Polytechnic University named after Peter the Great arrived to defend employees of all key departments of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who were raised on a training alert.
Employees of law enforcement agencies of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region arrived at the university building on Grazhdansky Prospekt in order to practice exercises to prevent terrorist attacks. Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University became the platform for the Ekran plan.
All, what is happening at the university building, - this is a special exercise "Screen". They are aimed at preventing and suppressing sabotage and terrorist acts at social facilities of the city., - explained in the power department.
To reassure citizens, they explained, that there is no threat of terrorism, the university is not occupied. The decision to conduct the exercises was agreed in advance, therefore, the employees of the department knew about the venue and arrived there in advance. Now there are units of law enforcement services on the territory of the Polytechnic University, representatives of the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of St. Petersburg, investigators, operational-search units, traffic police and others. The actions of employees will be worked out for several hours, after which representatives of the department, together with the equipment, will leave the territory of the university.
