Militants of the terrorist group "Islamic Party of Turkestan" * (banned in Russia under the decision of the Supreme Court) pull forces to the line of contact with the Syrian Arab Army (Farm).
According to the Federal News Agency, the activation of terrorists was noticed in the city of Jisr Ash-Shugur. According to local residents, militants are building up forces, presumably, to attack the Syrian army, located in the northeastern part of the province of Latakia. For the last 72 hours, dozens of militants and military equipment arrived in Jisr al-Shugur.
A column of militants spotted, consisting of about thirty cars (pick-ups with machine guns and trucks). The flags of the "Islamic Party of Turkestan" were fixed on several cars (banned in Russia), - said in a statement.
The leaders of the terrorist group are not only pulling forces into the city of Jisr Ash-Shugur, but transported to the neighboring cities of Maarand and Bdam, which are also under the control of the "Islamic Party of Turkestan". All three cities are part of a single defense area, controlled by radicals. According to experts, the increase in the number of militants and military equipment near the contact line confirms the information about the preparation of terrorists for offensive actions.
