Earlier media reported, that the father of Klimkin's wife, retired Major General Yuri Mikhailenko, 2014 was awarded the medal "For the Return of Crimea".
Mikhailenko himself, in a conversation with local journalists, clarified, what in 2014 received more than one, but immediately 3 medals: one from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the second - from the Crimean authorities, and the third - from the Communist Party.
He declared, proud of awards, always wore them and will wear them. According to Mykhaylenko, he 23 sought the return of Crimea to Russia for a year, and always acted in the form of a Soviet general.
