The first of three ordered Turkey Russian multi-role Ka-32 helicopters already delivered to the customer, said the CEO of the holding “Russian Helicopters” Andrew Boginsky, RIA Novosti.
Türkiye received the first Ka-32 helicopter under a contract for the supply of three helicopters, said Boginsky during the exhibition of weapons IDEX-2019, taking place these days in Abu Dhabi. he explained, that the contract with Turkey, most likely, will not be limited to three helicopters, so at the end of March – negotiations are scheduled for the beginning of April on expanding the supply of Ka-32s to this country. It is assumed, that Ankara will order five more of these rotorcraft.
Except Ka-32, Türkiye is very interested in multi-purpose helicopter “Ansat” – added Boginsky.
The first information about the supply of Ka-32 multi-purpose helicopters to Turkey appeared in the summer 2017 of the year. At the same time, it became known about the interest in these helicopters from Thailand..
Medium multi-purpose helicopter Ka-32A11BC is designed to perform special search and rescue and high-altitude assembly work, transportation of cargo inside the fuselage and on the external sling (to 5 tonnes), forest skidding, evacuation of the sick and injured, complex firefighting activities, as well as patrolling and special operations support.
The helicopter passed all international certifications.
