Calculations tactical missiles (OTRK) “Iskander-M” conducted exercises on the use of 9M729 missiles in Leningrad region. Martial missile tests were not carried out, the press service of the Western Military District.
According to the press service of the ZVO, in the Leningrad region have been teaching with electronic start-up of missiles 9M729 PTRC “Iskander-M”. The Defense Ministry noted, that during the exercise was carried out testing of the combat starts 9M729 missiles, that, Washington believes, violate the provisions of the Treaty on the Elimination of Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles (DRSMD), because supposedly they have a range in excess of defeat 500 kilometers. The United States has pressed Russia to destroy all missiles 9M729, as well as facilities to them and accessories.
