But I, properly, I wanted to write not quite about it. Let's take a moment to look at the situation in the US from a non-standard perspective.. to be precise, then through the prism of Venezuela.
What are Washington's claims to Maduro?
1. contested (and only the USA and their sixes) election result. "An opaque election procedure", which led to the "impossibility to accurately determine the winner of the presidential election".
2. Difficult socio-economic situation. High inflation, high unemployment.
properly, all. No "weapons of mass destruction" in vitro, no terrorist attacks in the United States. Boring, girls.
And if we look at the USA from Venezuela, what we will see?
1. Contested election result. According to some reports, more people voted for Clinton, than Trump. Plus the notorious "Russian hackers", whose mythical intervention has been keeping Trump awake for several years. Special Counsel Mueller's Investigation Continues.
2. Difficult socio-economic situation. Forty-three million people live on ration cards. On the streets of cities, entire tent cities of the homeless. Many large corporations are on the verge of bankruptcy.
I'm already silent about the crisis of migrants in the United States, that, among other things, commit so many crimes, that beat even high American crime records.
The shutdown hasn't ended, but postponed for three weeks. In mid-February, the circus with non-payment of salaries to federal employees will continue. According to economists, every two weeks of shutdowns reduce US GDP by 0,1%.
According to their own American "logic" Trump is illegitimate, and the government brought the country to ruin. So Trump must go!
They do have (unlike us, by the way) case law. And they themselves are trying to set a precedent, which can then be used against them.. Looks like, that the americans are just crazy.
Indeed, in the case, if the United States gets too actively into Venezuela or in some other way grapples, It is enough for Vladimir Vladimirovich to hold a press conference and say “Yes, we interfered in the American elections in favor of Trump. excuse me, will not happen again".

In the meantime, all formalities of impeachment will be settled in the States, while they prepare and hold new presidential elections (not fact, that no problem) – a possible invasion of Venezuela has long been forgotten by everyone.
The actions of the US leadership look from the outside like uniform panic. Broke with Assad (why did they shoot? what they wanted?). Fucked up to North Korea - left with nothing. Declared a trade war with the EU and China - suffer losses. Make ridiculous claims to Venezuela - and, likely, also get nothing.
This hegemon is broken. Fence construction (as well as communication with svidomites) does not lead to good.
