President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko made a statement in relation to neighboring Ukraine. According to the Belarusian leader,, Ukraine "was the second gift to the West after the Soviet Union". Lukashenka also commented on the recent friction in relations between Minsk and Moscow.

Lukashenko:
