General Director of "Kalashnikov" Vladimir Dmitriev told about the possibilities of a new unmanned complex ZALA Arctic, adapted for use in arctic conditions.
According to Dmitriev, UAVs of the ZALA Arctic series can successfully solve civil and military tasks in the Arctic zone, including research, ensure the safety of maritime navigation, carry out continuous full-fledged monitoring of the coast and territorial waters.
Devices adapted to work at low temperatures. AIS system on board, able to detect, and identify ships at a distance up to 100 km. In this case, the UAV operator receives the name of the vessel, its dimensions, heading and speed.
UAV uses its own alternative navigation system GIRSAM. It is specially designed for drones (air, ground and surface), those in the absence (suppression) GLONASS and GPS signals.
ZALA Arctic can perform tasks at any time of the day, duration of their flight 250 minutes. Information processing is provided by deciphering the primary material with our own software.
Operators of unmanned systems can live in the Arctic in a specially designed all-season residential module based on a sea container. The main advantage of such a dwelling (and part-time workshop) is the complete independence of its life support system from external sources. The insulated container is equipped with all necessary machinery and equipment, according to the press service of the concern.
