Kudrin: In Russia, almost 20 million poor

In his speech at a meeting of the lower house of the Parliament of the Russian Federation, he stated, that at the poverty level in our country are 19,3 million people, i.e 13,2% the population. The income of citizens of this category is below the subsistence level, established in 2018 year in Russia at around 9489 rubles per person.

Nevertheless, the head of the Accounts Chamber expressed hope this year to get an increase in real incomes of the population for the first time in five years, including real incomes of citizens of retirement age.

According to the data, provided by the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat), real money incomes of the population of Russia have been declining in recent years: on 1,7% in c 2017 year, at 2016 - on 5,8%, at 2015 - on 3,2%, at 2014 - on 0,7%. The increase in income was observed only in 2013 year and was 4%.
