The commander of the Naval Forces of Ukraine Igor Voronchenko, while in the United States Naval Symposium, I had a brief meeting with the Minister of Defense James Mattis, during which “reported” on the situation in the Azov Sea, reports the press center of the command of the Ukrainian naval forces.
reportedly, Voronchenko arrived in the USA for a naval symposium, passed 18-21 September this year, during which he spent several “very important” meetings. During a short meeting with Pentagon chief James Mattis, as stated in the press center of the Naval Forces of Ukraine, “Commander of the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on the current situation in the Black and Azov Seas regarding the aggressive actions of the Russian Federation”.
In addition, Voronchenko held meetings with the commanders of the navies of NATO countries and partners of Ukraine – US Navy Commander Admiral John Richardson, as well as the Baltic republics, Georgia, Great Britain, Turkey and several other countries. The main topic was the establishment of military cooperation between Ukraine and NATO in the waters of the Azov and Black Seas.
In total, participants took part in the symposium 80 commanders of the naval forces and 70 Coast Guard commanders from 120 nations.
